The Orion's Money Belt jumped into Dunandory only to be attacked by pirates. The crew dispatched some of the attackers before the small craft called off their attack. The damage was done though and the Orion's Money Belt suffered moderate damage, limping into the starport.

At port, the group split off. Ethan and Sylv went with Lt. Slayton to debrief the Federation governor of the situation on 224-694 Prime and the Rezolian attack. Sawyer and Nexus 7 looked to find a secure backup vault for the jump data they recovered in the Aldeirook system from Dr. Brint and made some contacts with potential academics for researching the theorem themselves. The remaining crew worked on the ship and opted to accept an invitation from the remaining scientific staff they rescued for dinner.

Ethan and Nexus 7 found an illicit data broker which could provide a secure physical vault for a copy of the data. The encrypted lock for the cloud storage allowed only their access to it if they were ever in the system. After some research into local universities, they talked with Sigma Solutions, a small data consulting company formed by adjunct faculty. The company itself was a minor subsidiary of Anshin, the same megacorporation responsible for Nexus 7's creation. They had some discussion with the company members and established an agreement. If the crew wanted to develop the jump technology themselves, they would have the assistance of the physicists and mathematicians at Sigma Solutions.

Ethan and Shandrey relayed their information to the governor. The governor asked them to stay a few days, and he would relay the information through the Federation network. However, he expected it would be better to relay this directly to the Federation sector council. A seat was in a nearby system, but the governor would contact the crew of Orion's Money Belt in a few days to confirm if this would be prudent.

Ethan took the invitation for a dinner with the governor as a means to gleam more information on the Federation political situation. Selina and Shandrey agreed to meet the scientists they rescued for a dinner, while Tootsie was happy enough to get the Orion's Money Belt repaired.

Later that evening, Selina and Shandrey approached the near deserted starport and saw a figure enter the ship. Tootsie, unaware of the intruder, was busy making repairs. Selina was able to access the internal cameras of the ship and watch the individual attempt to access the ship's logs. They sneaked towards him and incapacitated him with a stun gun.

Secured, tying him to a chair, the remaining crew assembled to interrogate him. Unwilling to talk, he leaned back and bit into his tooth, gas and acid ate away his face as he convulsed from a poison and died. The stunned crew contemplated their next move.
